![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Newly built, Taigh Foise, (pronounced ‘tie foshe’) is set within its own garden on a working croft near Kintra, with ever-changing sky and seaward views towards the north-west of Mull and the other islands of the Inner Hebrides. Five minutes walk takes you to wild coastline where you can hear the whistle of oystercatchers and the surge of the ocean. |

Situated seven miles from Bunessan and two miles from Fionnphort from where boats run to Iona and Staffa, there are well-stocked stores, local crafts, restaurants and bars offering all the necessities and more for your holiday. Much closer to home ‘The Crofters’ Kitchen’ shop can provide home-grown seasonal vegetables and eggs. |
There are numerous quiet sandy beaches and plentiful walks which, combined with turquoise seas and the pink granite rocks, make the Ross of Mull unforgettable, rich in wildlife and steeped in history. | ![]() |
Environmental Initiatives Guests can learn about the practicalities of harnessing power from a sometimes hostile environment. Wind and solar energy have served the crofthouse for over 10 years. Hot water in Taigh Foise is heated indirectly by the sun (and yes, we do have plenty of that too!). You can experience at first hand some of the latest eco-friendly technologies incorporated in the new building. Various methods of recycling, disposal and use of household waste with reedbed systems and composting are also practised. Our aim is to achieve the Gold Star Green Tourism Award. ![]() ![]() |
